Electrosoft was awarded multiple contracts
Electrosoft to Conduct Compliance Assessments of Federal Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Card Issuers September 21, 2015

Electrosoft was awarded multiple contracts from Federal Agencies to perform formal (independent) compliance assessments of each Agency’s capability to issue and administer PIV Cards for its employees and contractors. These assessments will cover each organization’s central capability for PIV Card issuance and management as well as a representative sample of satellite facilities that issue PIV Cards to Agency staff distributed across the Nation.

The PIV Card is a reliable, government-wide identity credential for use in applications such as access to Federally controlled facilities and information systems. The requirements for PIV Cards are defined through Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 201-2 and a number of related National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications (SPs). Assessments of PIV Card Issuers (PCI) are performed in accordance with NIST SP 800-79-2, and serves to establish the reliability of the PCI and support an official authorization process.
