Integrity, Customer Service, Excellence, Innovation, and Respect are Electrosoft’s core values. Innovation, which is crucial to continuing success, is usually associated with a new method, idea, or product. Innovation challenges the old way of doing things. It involves thinking outside the box and looking at problems from different perspectives.

Innovation can be disruptive or incremental, and it can take many forms. Would-be innovators can look for gaps (what’s broken), explore future needs, or investigate better ways of doing things. Innovation should include ways to integrate automation tools to save time and reduce errors.

Most important of all, innovation can answer customer needs or avoid risks they hadn’t anticipated. For example, innovation has helped us create new ways to visualize Risk Management Framework metrics, improve vulnerability management reporting, and enhance understanding of Zero Trust compliance. It doesn’t always involve a big idea or new technology. Sometimes, a minor change is all the innovation needed to create success for your team, your customer, and your company.

However, one essential rule is: Make a plan. A plan or strategy adds the structure that provides direction and keeps efforts focused. A plan enables others to comment and collaborate on your idea and perhaps improve it. A plan keeps resource use in check. Most of all, it increases chances for successful innovation.

Together, we can do so much. So, let’s get thinking and be innovative.
