TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
Dr. Gupta's talk was titled “Building a Cyber World that Protects the User as a High Value Asset!” She pointed out that the focus of the cybersecurity industry has always been the protection of organizational data and IT systems. There are very few tools available that can consistently and reliably protect the user from cyber threats. She wants to usher in a new era where cyber professionals recognize the user as a high value asset and focus on developing tools and solutions that protect the user from hackers and bad actors on the Internet. She calls this new model User-Centric Zero Trust!
