Electrosoft is pleased to announce that Judith Fincher, PhD and Senior Security Engineer is leading the Healthcare Security Discussion Forum being conducted this week as part of the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Appsec USA 2013 Conference. The forum will discuss activities underway to adopt secure applications (apps) and mobility in the Healthcare sector.
The forum will address guidance from the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health Information Technology (HIT), from the Healthcare Committee of the National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace (NSTIC), from Health Level Seven (HL7), and from the U.S. National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST), such as Special Publication 800-53-4,"Recommended Security Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organization.”
The OWASP AppSec USA 2013 conference brings together industry, government, security researchers, and practitioners to discuss the state of the art in application security. The conference focuses on technologists, auditors, risk managers, and entrepreneurs to share the latest research and practices. It is being held November 18-21 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York.
