Electrosoft today announced its inclusion in the Washington Business Journal's distinguished 2024 Corporate Diversity Index for Midsize Companies in Greater Washington. Compiled annually by the Washington Business Journal, the Index ranks companies based on the percentage of employees that are people of color. Electrosoft ranked #34 on the list of 62 midsize companies, with people of color making up 57% of the company’s workforce.
"At Electrosoft, we believe in the power of diversity to drive innovation and success. Our long-standing tradition of hiring employees for their skills and aptitude, rather than their backgrounds, has created a workforce with a wide range of cultures, experiences, and perspectives,” said Dr. Sarbari Gupta, CEO of Electrosoft. “This recognition further validates our commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where all team members can thrive."
Electrosoft is dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusion not only within its own ranks but also within the broader government and contractor community. Dr. Gupta and an Electrosoft colleague are named co-authors of the recently revised NIST SP 800-63, Digital Identity Guidelines. SP 800-63 supports more citizens getting through the identity proofing process to access government services, which will better accommodate diversity, equity, and inclusion of citizens from all backgrounds.
Companies on the 2024 Corporate Diversity Index for Midsize Companies have between 100 and 999 total employees. To review the full list, visit the Washington Business Journal website.
Electrosoft was also included on WBJ’s 2024 list of Largest Companies Owned by People of Color, ranking #20 on the list.
